i watched 27 dresses yesterday. i'm beginning to feel the tummy going away; even my pants are dropping! anyway, i shall be uncontactable for the next six days again, though i'm bringing in a handphone this time - it's a different number so don't bother trying to get me at my number.

living on impossible dreams

the day before enlistment, i was going through old receipts and trashing them away. some were so faded, but when you look at them you will begin to recall many things that you did in the past. everything recorded down in faded receipts.

the night before enlistment, i had my first mexican meal. and then it rained.

now so much has changed. the mrt trains have a new announcement lady. don't like. had a mindless tour and a mindless walk today. i do want to eat some donuts!

tonight

i am booked out! 东方神起 has arrived at my doorstep! and i have received a conditional offer from cardiff university, though it requires from test which i don't know about =( must check that soon.

on other news, i have a chinese-german in my section. and he does crazy shit loads of pull-ups. i am also turning very tan =(

the computer looks and sounds very different right now. omg i really can't believe i finished 16 days of army at one go.

normalcy

my second last day in civilisation. i went to serangoon to pass sonya the cooking books, and we had a long walk back out to the bus stop. met amanda for lunch, and we went for kfc. not bad, i tried the meltz student's meal. student's meal. the bishan paedophile was there all the time.

went to school to give out the cookies. i couldn't find mrs ong's pigeonhole, so i put it with mrs matthews' haha. then i met ms koo just outside the staffroom. talked with mr tham in the canteen. he told me much much about what to expect. and he says to stay positive.

the tables in a23 were all in tilted fashion. i saw ms law teaching in the geography room. it was so hot today, then it became so rainy. raywen they all were in school too. and some of them already shaved their heads.

went to paya lebar to get the army singlets from weicheng, who made me walk so much and spend so much on the train.

my feet hurt now, and i still have to go to orchard for dinner.

this is also the last post before i go in; don't think i'll write anymore tomorrow. didn't see you in school, but i think you will love this year. yes, i think everything just goes back to normalcy.

i did the creaming by hand again, though i think i might have creamed the butter and sugars for too long. today's batter didn't seem as light as the last time's. don't know if it's the butter.
i think i could sell novelty cookies or cookies in a jar next time! today's cookies didn't leave the cookie sheet as easily as expected. and i don't think they taste as nice as the last time's. but i think the cookies like to cheat people - they seem to taste better after a while, or even after a day.

so there. i have collected five days of nice hair. and on wednesday i will (have to) let it go. let it fall back to mother earth where it came from.

chicken nut bread

omg today was so fun. i actually skated without injuring anyone. i remember the only other time i skated was at jurong with x'fotia. and then i cut daniel. and i didn't want to skate anymore. but today i did better; i could actually skate without holding on to the sides after a while. and yihui was spinning everywhere because we asked her to haha! then she taught us to spin. and i must go back and learn to spin. omg so fun. oh, there were also many little japanese boys skating; yishi's jealous!
then we met up with aminah and toffa at the kfc. haha aminah just came back from her first day of teaching. and they went bowling. i watched! haha this photo is the geography class. blue and green balls to represent mother earth.
dinner was at the old airport road food centre. my first time there! then in the end left me, clara, beejuan and couple. we went cine wanting to watch movie, but the timings were not good. i went to the basement and found the bbq chicken place yishi told me about. omg they really show videos of 东方神起! then we went to nydc to get more fatty food =(

on other news, i now have a whole line of products to put on my face in the morning and at night.
it's been raining today, and the gloomy feeling is setting in. i think it's because, as xiangjun says, life is about to get simpler.

black sheep

it's a cool and gloomy day, good for doing pie dough. today i listened to some joey yung because seibu sent me more songs. and my train ride from tiong bahru to orchard now costs $1.08. this is not good.
today was lunch with sonya at the marmalade pantry. omg so cool i like the place, and my hair. also, i got a book from weiyang today. it's the martha stewart living cookbook.
this is the pasta i had. there were chillies, but it wasn't spicy. the cupcakes they had were nice too.
sonya says i have thin bangs. but i'm starting to love my hair.

after the lunch was movie with yishi, aminah and weiyang. so cool la aminah came from work. we watched i am legend, which was quite scary. and one part yishi shouted 'oh no!' and i think everyone in the cinema heard it haha. then we went to cine to the highest level because i wanted to find 东方神起 stuff, but they were all so expensive =(

NS is countable wih my fingers now. it has been a gloomy day, but it never really rained on us.

milestones

two years ago i watched the fireworks with boonping. one year ago i watched it with the short ones. this year i watched it with seven classmates.

dinner was at thai express, which took the chance to fleece customers with the 'celebration menu'. nadz bought us donuts from donut factory. omg it's been so long since i ate it. probably because i no longer had anyone to buy for. stupid beejuan gave me a 好男要当兵 postcard.

oh yes i saw nicholas walk past at citylink mall. bet the seibu must be very jealous!

anyhow, we set our mats in the middle of the padang and lit some candles, played some cards, and ate donuts. there was also a very cute little girl who kept running to us. i think it would be nice to have children. yes that must come into the next thirty-year plan.

the fireworks were nice. too bad my camera couldn't capture it nicely. this new year means a few things. it means adult fares on the buses and trains. and it also means national service. there, i said it. it is also time to reflect upon the previous year. i found love last year, and i learnt baking. i learnt to wait and hope.

oh yes i think today's peach cream pie is so nice, but i'm always saying the things i make are nice.

walked home from city hall. and damn the blister that came from wearing the slippers. i gave up at outram park and took the train. surprisingly, the train ride was $0.40.

until then, i shall research and create a cookie pizza that is as cute as jaejoong's!
