snippets

sometimes, some stories cannot be told in five minutes while standing under a lamp post; sometimes they require chocolate chip cookies and milk, open minds, and maybe a great deal of courage from the story-teller himself. because the shocking truths they reveal can and will unsettle many: imagine the betrayal the audience could and would feel.

on other news, i conclude that the strawberry-topped cheesecake was indeed perfect. also, 姑姑 has gotten me a bar of ghirardelli twilight delight.

what is truth and reality? jeffrey eugenides tells us:

the only way we know it's true is that we both dreamed it. that's what reality is. it's a dream everyone has together... [but] the tiniest bit of truth made credible the greatest lies.
