pearls and lace gloves

the scones and cheesecake were perfect. seriously. but i was a bit klutzy in the morning. when i cracked an egg for the egg wash, i kind of smashed it into the sink. (of course i used another egg.)
the cream scones turned out fine. the breadiness was not there, and it was tasty like the scones i've eaten outside. good with butter or jam, gloriously plain too.
this is the cheesecake topped with the strawberry jam. it's so good, good, good. i'm not so sure if i still want to go through the troubles of making baked cheesecakes anymore, after eating this no-bake one.

i realised, after so long, that i'm not an idealist. i mean, i always used that word, but i knew that it didn't exactly convey what i wanted to convey. now i have found the word! it's 'purist'.
