ok i must write about the chocolate cake that i baked for the class outing first.

like i said, i sifted everything except the stupid baking soda.

i thought the batter smelled nice.

and it baked nicely.

but the cake had this very bland smell after it came out from the oven =(

and the strawberries.

and the second layer.

this is the tangy chocolate frosting which was quite nice, except that there were still icing sugar lumps, because i didn't sift the icing sugar.

and the final product. honestly, i wasn't very hopeful of a good review, because i thought the cake itself was very unsatisfactory =(
