或许能从来一回
even though today is only the second day of 2009, it already feels like i've gone very far into the new year. i think it's the mal-effects of staying up overnight on new year night, sleeping a little, going out for another long day (but the class party was worth it), and sleeping a little again.
today i went to sign up for some 10km run with chengwei, then visit bunny, and on the way bumped into scorpion, who's working in real estate now! bunny took chengwei and me on a little scenic walk and i saw - for the first time in my life - little guilin.
and then i had a geographic recollection, and i have to regurgitate now. in tropical climates, deep weathered layers predominate granite landscapes, while cockpit karsts and spitzkarren predominate karst landscapes. in temperate climates, ruwares and bornhardts form in granite landscapes, while dolines and uvalas form in karst landscapes.
guilin in china is a cockpit karst landscape formed from weathering of the limestone region, but little guilin is a cockpit-karst-landscape-lookalike formed from blasting the granite quarry.
sometimes my memory of the past is so distant that i need to look at old photos to remember places we've been to, things we've done together.
