只等奇迹

feeling gloomy tonight. i was stuck alone in the office till quite late, and there was no dinner. so i thought maybe i could finally have an excuse to buy the pasar malam food, but it was gone already when i went there.

i wanted to get started on my nigella sourdough, but the starter was so freshly out of the refrigerator and quite dormant, so i fed it, and am now watching it bubble to life again. i'm also listening to the joey cd that seibu burnt for me in june 2008.

i was looking at that photo of the class that carmen posted on facebook, and how it has gotten a group of long-lost/broken-contact-with people commenting on it. now i recall some very 'cute' memories of primary school class:

jordan used to (repeatedly) hum the x-files theme. he once said mrs yan was '(pretty) ugly', and he was a chicky club member. mrs yan always squeeeezes, and takes five minutes off your recess. weijian got five minutes taken off for using the non-standard-english sound word kiap kiap.
