american pancakes from nigella bites. the butterscotch sauce is proving itself difficult to finish using, but at the same time a useful addition to the pancakes. i suppose it's like a smoky caramel sauce in place of the usual maple syrup.

later i'm going (all the way) to orchard to get that darn waitrose organic flour. i'm going to try the sourdough again.
