faithless love

back from a whole day of fun and luck!

first, i woke up at 1130 and rushed to serangoon because i was supposed to be there at 12. but then, amanda was late too! and so we were both late, and we went to buy the groceries for making the cherry pie.

but today's weather was such a bitch. after raining for so many days, it just chose to turn warm today, which was very bad for the pie dough. i think the pie dough was not correctly done because the butter softened, and i was in such a rush i think i stressed the dough too much.

however, it has been a day of luck. the pie crust turned out ok, though the dough before baking was too difficult to keep in one piece; it kept breaking, and so the top crust ending up looking ugly. otherwise, it should have been one nice piece with christmas tree shapes cut out!
and then the pie looked like crap after it got sliced open. but never mind, it tasted ok. we went to VCH to watch the finals of the national violin and piano competition. wulei, shanghui and ruolin were there too, so we finished the pie during the intermission. shanghui said it was 'not bad'! which means it is very nice. and he went for eight spoons of it! which means it is highly edible.

(oh yes, paganini was some bomb!) amanda wanted to skip the rest of the programme, and so wulei, amanda and i went to look for nice food! we went to this pasta place by the river, which had damn nice pasta. omg damn nice pasta and a damn late time is damn bad for figure.

anyway, i need to detox now. it has been a hot day of broken pie dough and power trip.
but it has been a lucky day of three buses and four tickets. there will be a meteor shower.
