back and turn

i can tell you it rained at 5am last night.

today i got so angry because ntuc didn't have cream and brown sugar. nevertheless, i made the right substitutions and i think i got quite a good peanut butter cupcake with chocolate ganache. the cake batter was more like a paste than a real batter, so it didn't rise as much as i expected. maybe it needs more fat and some sodium bicarbonate, but it tasted nice, and i like the peanut butter smell!

the chocolate ganache was a little too sickeningly sweet though. texture was finally correct, and i tried using my own-made piping bag to frost the cupcakes, but it still looked ugly so i used a spoon to splat on the ganache =(
