overwrite

my baking mojo is back! i used the techniques from the american book i got for my birthday to make jeffrey cookies. (i shall call it the american book henceforth!) i did everything by hand this time; and it was so freaking tiring to cream the refrigerator-cold butter with the sugars. but i am happy because i followed the techniques in the american book closely - keeping the creaming time short, working fast to keep the batter cool - and got very nice cookies in the end!

i think the jeffrey cookies are perfect now. photos to come soon, and i just wish i could take a photo of the fragrance for you.
