escaped the chaos
this was my second week at fairfield. i've tried the milo from the coffee machine, and i have no more regrets. i also got to eat the potato-luncheon meat thingy from the 菜饭 stall, the 斋米粉, and the fried rice (which apparently is sold only on wednesdays). the tastes never changed, and so haven't the aunties who sell them.
amidst all the pretty cards the children drew for me, and confetti which one class threw at me, the week ended with light rains. (children have a very different idea of 'love' and 'best' and 'favourite'. and children can surprise you: the one boy who was so naughty in the first week suddenly became very cooperative in the second, and revealed that he only chose to be naughty at first.)
when you begin to wear rubber bands as an accessory, then clearly you are a teacher of some sort. i still like the school hymn more than the school song.
it is quite nice.
jinquan said that there can only be five regular solids, and i recently read the proof for it. it follows that the tetrahedron, cube, octahedron, dodecahedron and icosahedron are the only possible dice that you can have. when faced with two choices, you can flip a coin; then now, you can make a decision when faced with 4, 6, 8, 12 or 20 choices.
