i realised that for the past half year of having the american book, i've finished reading almost all its pages, but have only tried three recipes: the cherry pie, banana cream pie, and baked alaska. not that it isn't substantial; the banana cream pie involved cooking pastry cream, which was quite demanding, and making pie dough is never easy in a kitchen subject to singaporean climate!

so, in a bid to utilise more recipes from this book, i am going to do buttermilk biscuits, at the same time using up the buttermilk and milk leftover from the muffins two days ago. i am also going to make a sour cream streusel pound cake for mothers' day, at the same time using my excessive stash of cake flour that is due to expire soon =/

exciting, no?
