pantry magic at chip bee gardens is truly magical. am i very late in discovering that place? i was very tempted to buy the rectangular tart tin, and the vanilla beans. omg the vanilla beans. and the nielsen-massey vanilla extract. (so super pricey!) still, i found myself six ramekins, which the shopkeeper wrapped so prettily and bagged up in their recyclable bags.

after two hours vexing over the tart-pan-oven-size question, i have calculated that the rectangular tart pan will not fit into my oven =(
